For this project I read the story by Ray Bradbury called the Veldt. The story is about a family lving in a futuristic house, that leads to the children of the family killing their parents to keep them from leaving the house and the virtual world of the nurary within the house. In reading this story I interpretted several things like colors of yellow and red as well as metallic harshness of the house itself anf the harshness of the technology it represents.

For this sculpture I chose to interpret the colors of the story and was inspired to examine the children of the story, using the colors of red and yellow to convey both the colors I saw from reading it and colors that show whimsy and child's normal innocence. I chose to construct a carnival like tent as my outside and the inside show and convey the dark and sinister transformation of the children and becuase of the ultimate carnage and savagry that the children show in the end.
